Splat
The player in the centre fires 'Splat!' at someone who must duck while their two neighbours draw finger-guns at each other. The slower one is out. Last two face a dramatic duel.
About
Splat is a fast-reaction elimination game that rewards alertness, physical commitment and a good sense of the absurd. It is quick to learn and reliably generates big energy and laughter. The final two-player duel is always a crowd-pleaser, especially when the group chooses a devious trigger word.
How to Play
- 1
One player stands in the centre of the circle as the Splatter. Everyone else stands in a circle.
- 2
The Splatter points dramatically at any player and shouts 'Splat!'
- 3
The targeted player must duck immediately. Their left and right neighbours simultaneously draw finger-guns at each other and shout 'Splat!'
- 4
The slower of the two neighbours to fire is eliminated. If the targeted player fails to duck in time, they are eliminated instead.
- 5
The circle closes as players are eliminated. The final two players stand back-to-back, take three steps, and fire on a trigger word chosen by the group.
Variations
- -Add a 'Banana Split!' call mid-game: the last person to mime grabbing a banana overhead is eliminated. Works as a good reset when energy drops.
