Freeze Tag

About

Two players begin a scene. At any point, a player on the side can call 'Freeze!' - both players hold their exact physical position. The new player taps one out, takes their physical position, and starts an entirely new scene based on that shape.

How to Play

1. 1

   Two players start a scene with physical activity.

2. 2

   Any outside player can call 'Freeze!' at any moment.

3. 3

   Both players freeze in their exact positions.

4. 4

   The caller taps one player out, assumes their exact position, and immediately begins a brand new scene inspired by that position.

5. 5

   The scene continues until someone else calls 'Freeze!'

Variations

• -Two-Person Freeze: only the two players in the scene can call Freeze on each other
• -Slow Freeze: the coach controls when Freeze is called
• -Blind Freeze: the player about to tap in turns their back to the scene before calling Freeze. They do not see the physical positions until they turn around after tapping in, forcing them to justify whatever shape they find themselves in without pre-planning.
• -Double-Blind Freeze: two players have their backs to the scene simultaneously. When one calls Freeze and taps in, the second immediately turns and taps in the other player - both discover their positions at the same moment and must build a new scene from scratch with no preparation.
