Evolution
Players start as eggs and evolve through stages by winning Rock Paper Scissors. Each stage has its own sound and physical identity. Reach the top of the chain to win - then cheer on the rest.
About
Evolution is an energetic physical warm-up that doubles as an ice-breaker. Its escalating drama, strong physical vocabulary and playful competitiveness make it one of the most reliable games for getting a new group moving, laughing and engaged quickly. The retired champions cheering from the sidelines create a feedback loop of energy for the remaining players.
How to Play

Everyone begins as an Egg: crouch low, round the back, stay compact and silent.

Find another Egg and play Rock Paper Scissors. The winner evolves to the next stage. The loser stays as an Egg.

Evolution stages with distinct physical identity and sound: Egg (silent, compact), Chicken (cluck and flap arms), Dinosaur (roar and stomp), Superhero (heroic pose, signature sound).

Players can only challenge someone at the same evolutionary stage as themselves.
- 5
Superheroes who win one more round retire and stand to the side, cheering the remaining players on loudly.
Variations
- -Theme the stages to fit the workshop: Fairy, Dragon, Wizard, Sorcerer works well for fantasy or storytelling-focused sessions. Add sound design: play a different 10-second audio clip for each stage.
